Psychedelic Psycho Art...

For the first time of my life I saw some psychedelic art. Maybe my eyes viewed it before, but never noticeble to let my brain wondering what it really is. I asked my Gaughin friend what it was. "Psychedelic art" , is her answer. PSYCHEdelic would mean something that influences the psyche. So I immediately thought about drugs. My friend taking drugs to create art? She doesn't need that, she is very talented herself.

Psychedelic drugs means a psychoactive drug that induces hallucinations or altered sensory experiences. LSD, which means lysergic acid diethylamide, gives powerful hallucinations to its takers.

Wikipedia tells: Psychedelic art is art inspired by the psychedelic experience induced by drugs such as LSD, Mescaline, and Psilocybin. The word "psychedelic" (coined by British psychologist Humphrey Osmond) means "mind manifesting". By that definition all artistic efforts to depict the inner world of the psyche may be considered "psychedelic". However, in common parlance "Psychedelic Art" refers above all to the art movement of the 1960s counterculture. Psychedelic visual arts were a counterpart to psychedelic rock music. Concert posters, album covers, lightshows, murals, comic books, underground newspapers and more reflected not only the kaleidoscopically swirling patterns of LSD hallucinations, but also revolutionary political, social and spiritual sentiments inspired by insights derived from these psychedelic states of consciousness.

So the colorful art finds his history in the free sixties, so from now on I name it Hippie Art. Take a view at some:

My Gaughin friend made me a new psychedelic creation based on my doll character Emilia. It could be true that Emilia does LSD, because she is my crazy me, my-no-boundering-me. BAughin (Benny Ghaughin) made the name a bit different psychodelic would mean that Emilia is a very Psycho person. Emilia her next project is making a horror movie...
